About Ivan Tai, PE

Ivan Tai commenced his structural engineering career at Tang Structural Engineers Inc. in 2021, where he has cultivated a distinguished record of technical excellence and sustained professional growth. Beginning as a Design Engineer, he rapidly developed proficiency across a diverse range of project types and construction systems — spanning wood-framed residential structures to complex commercial developments.

Following several years of consistently delivering high-quality design work across both residential and commercial sectors, Ivan advanced to the role of Project Manager. In this capacity, he oversees multiple Division of the State Architect (DSA) projects under the supervision of Principal Structural Engineer Che Tang — a responsibility that speaks to both his technical depth and his proven ability to lead with precision, accountability, and professional integrity.

In May 2026, Ivan reached a defining milestone in his career by obtaining his Professional Engineer (PE) license, a credential that affirms his command of structural engineering principles and his steadfast commitment to the highest standards of professional practice.

A proud alumnus of California State University, Long Beach, Ivan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
